There is a water dispenser and water gallon bottles can be purchased at the warung across the road. The warung also sells biscuits, soft drinks, sweets, tea and instant coffee sachets.
Essentials to bring
Food and drinks. Whilst you can buy fish, chicken, eggs, noodles and local produce of vegetables and fruits, there are many things you cannot buy as there is no large supermarket close to Sambolo. The only modern store available is a mini mart in Carita, around 6.5 km from Rumah Joglo. But they mainly have the type of goods you can find in a Seven Eleven store. Examples of what to bring inlcude:
- Breakfast: your favorite tea/coffee, cereals, marmalade, good bread, bacon, baked beans, sausages, cheese, cold meats, etc.
- Lunch/Dinner: Meat, canned foods, sauces, dressings, deli foods, spices etc.
- Alcohol: You can buy beer in Sambolo but better to bring your own
- Outdoor sandals or similar are ideal if you intend to do some walking or snorkeling
- Snorkeling gear
- Small back pack (if you intend to do some walking
House Rules
Everything on the property is for your use and enjoyment. Smoking inside the house is now allowed but you can of course smoke on the front or back veranda. Cigarette butts should be disposed of responsibly. Note that we are able to accommodate for additional guests beyond 4 adults, especially children. The extra charge is USD19/night. Cot and baby chair for children can be arranged. Just send us an email and let us know. We will however not accept more than 8 guests including children. Our staff is there to assist and cleaning is of course included. The staff can also help you with cooking, shopping, child minding, arranging trips etc. but you will need to pay for transport and for their time. You can arrange this directly with the staff who will be more than happy to help. Please give our friendly staff a tip at the end of your stay, especially if you think they done a good job.
